Everything Must Go

This film stars Will Ferrell. He is recently out of a job and a marriage. He lives on his front lawn with all his belongings for a few days until he is able to sell his items at a yard sale. His character is an alcoholic and he is trying to better himself throughout the movie. I enjoyed this movie because it shows the hardships of an alcoholic, a failing marriage, and having a frienship that means something. It was a little depressing to watch Will Ferrell be more serious and not crack any weird jokes. But it is always nice to see a comedian show their serious side. The message in the film was about redemption, wrongs of his past, conquering demons and learning to move forward. I gave this movie an 8 out of 10.

Beaver

Beaver is an independent film starring Mel Gibson. We heard this movie was really good so went to watch to decide for ourselves. It is about a man who falls into depression and his only outlet is a beaver puppet he finds in the trash. He uses the puppet to communicate to people at work and to his family at home. It was a great film on how one overcomes depression in a different way, yet still has symptoms when the puppet is not around or used. It is a sad movie but has a feeling of reality on how maybe some people hide behind things to communicate. Although the film was depressing, it had a good message. How the resiliency of the human spirit, the love of the family, and platform for mental illness is the basic message of this film.

Bridesmaids

This movie hit close to home. If you've ever been a bride, bridesmaid, or just with the wedding party during a bachlorette party you will understand. Everyone other than the bride tend to forget why they are celebrating. Their focus starts to become their happiness and they forget about the bride. Melissa McCarthy was hiliarious! You feel like you've met someone like her character. Kristen Wiig and Rose Byrne were the great SNL characters they are. They did a lot of improv, so I read. This movie gives you an insight on what bachlorette parties are about, twenty different personalities trying to get along. I really enjoyed this movie and actually saw it twice in the theater. I don't ever do that! This movie was a 9.5 out of 10 for me. My husband enjoyed it too he gave it an 8 out of 10. So ladies you can take your significant other.

The Hangover Part II

Going into this movie I already knew its a man show. Meaning the kind of scenes we will be watching are ones that most men think are funny. The movie was enjoyable and had some raunchy funny scenes that most men who have gone to a bachelor party have probably experienced. Zach Galifianakis is hilarious and pretty much makes most of the movie. Ken Jeong was crazy as usual. Overall it seemed pretty outrageous. I am not sure if things get that crazy at a bachelor party, I mean where they loose people in different countries and people get seriously hurt. But, then again I am not a man and have never been to a bachelor party so I wouldn't know. My rating for this movie was a 7 out of 10, for keeping my interest.
